OLIVIA JESSAR, LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER

You've invested significant time and energy into personal development. You've gained valuable insights about your patterns and likely understand their origins. Yet despite this self-awareness and understanding, you've noticed that knowledge alone isn't creating the meaningful changes you're seeking. Even with these insights, you find yourself:

  • Stuck in the same relationship dynamics, even though you can see them playing out in real-time

  • Battling anxiety or depression, armed with all the right coping tools but still struggling

  • Feeling like an observer in your own life – able to analyze everything perfectly, but unable to break free

  • Wondering why all this insight isn't translating into the deep change you know is possible

I specialize in working with thoughtful young adults, particularly women and LGBTQ+ folks, who are intimately familiar with this frustrating gap between understanding and transformation. As a queer therapist, I know firsthand that self-discovery is rarely linear, and that sometimes the most challenging part isn't gaining insight – it's actually living differently.

OLIVIA’S APPROACH:

Through our collaborative relationship, you'll feel safe to examine how past experiences have shaped your view of yourself and the world. Trauma – whether a single event or ongoing circumstances – can leave us with feelings of shame, disconnection, and difficulty trusting others. Together, we'll understand how these experiences influence your present and work to transform patterns that may no longer serve you.

My approach integrates psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and feminist perspectives, acknowledging how societal structures and cultural narratives impact our wellbeing. Our work together will be driven by curiosity and insight, and will allow you to be deeply seen and heard. As you feel deeply understood, you'll discover new ways of being that lead to lasting transformation in your daily life and relationships.

You are the expert of your experience – my role is to help you access your innate capacity for healing and growth.
