LIZ BRUNO, LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

DIAGNOSTIC PRIVILEGE

Have you been feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed lately—but can’t quite name why? Maybe you're going through a big life change, facing family or work stress, or simply feeling out of sync with yourself. It can be hard to hold everything on your own. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and all the messy in-between moments that don’t always have a name. Our emotions can be complex and layered—especially when they’re tied to past trauma, family dynamics, or the pressure to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll unpack your experience with curiosity and care, and help you build the tools to feel more grounded, confident, and aligned.

I believe therapy is first and foremost a relationship. I show up to sessions as a real person—warm, collaborative, and down to earth. Yes, I bring clinical expertise, but I also bring humor, empathy, and respect for your lived experience. You’re the expert in your own life, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate it.

Liz’s APPROACH:

My work is rooted in a strengths-based, person-centered framework. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Mindfulness-based strategies

These tools help us make sense of your patterns, regulate intense emotions, and deepen the connection between your mind and body. If you're open to it, we can integrate creative or identity-affirming frameworks into our work, too.

Some themes we might explore together include:

  • Understanding how anxiety or depression is showing up in your day-to-day life

  • Coping with school or career stress without burning out or losing yourself

  • Navigating big life transitions or shifts in identity

  • Working through relationship and family conflict with compassion and clarity

  • Building emotional resilience while staying connected to your values

A Little About Me:
Outside of therapy, I love spending time with friends and family, hanging out with my very playful cat, exploring new places, and finding grounding in nature. I’m a coffee lover, a reader, a crafter—and I deeply value balance between work and rest.

If you’re ready to feel more connected to yourself and less overwhelmed by life’s stressors, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation. I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
